The cottage or ‘stuga’ as it is called in Swedish, is a typical wooden ‘summer house’ on the shores of a small lake, just 2km from Orsa Tallhed airfield. It is away from the main road and very quiet, with the lake on one side and forest all around. Great for fishing, sunbathing and relaxing whilst not flying!

The accommodation is quite basic, so don’t expect ‘mod cons’. It comprises a double bedroom directly facing the lake, open plan to a further bedroom containing 4 bunk beds. There is a tiny kitchen area with gas hob (although most guests prefer to use the barbeque on the terrace). There is a shower room and sink, with water pumped from the lake and a gas water heater. A chemical toilet is available.

The lounge faces the lake and garden, and opens onto a terrace with barbeque and open fireplace. Great for sitting out in the evenings and enjoying the long, long sunsets. 

There is a rowing boat at the small jetty and fishing tackle is available.

£199 per week for 1 person
£299 per week for 2-4 guests
£399 for 5-7 guests
